Optimistic Rollup

An optimistic rollup is a Layer 2 scaling solution designed to improve transaction throughput and reduce fees on blockchain networks. It works by assuming that all transactions are valid (an "optimistic" assumption), bundling them into batches, and then submitting these batches to the main chain.

If any participant suspects fraudulent transactions, they can submit a fraud proof to challenge the batch. The system will then verify the disputed transaction. By relying on this trust-but-verify model, optimistic rollups can process more transactions faster and cheaper while maintaining the main chain's security and integrity.
